Types of Vending Locators

I have heard them too and I have my own stories as well. Most people in the business will say do not use a locator they cost too much, and they don’t get very good locations.

I have to agree and disagree.

Yes you should be able to get your own locations,but if you find the right locator, it can be a great benefit to your business.

The first type is the guy that comes to your house, picks up your vending machines and starts beating the doors down around your neighborhood trying to get your machine placed.

You usually go with them and they will do anything and say anything to get your machine placed.

Do Not, I repeat do not use this type of vending locator. Here are some reasons why.

These type of vending locators are getting paid very little. The typical vending locator service charges 50 dollars per machine.

So they are splitting the 50 dollars with owner of the company. So basically they are getting 25 dollars per machine placed.

The next thing is time, it takes too long to go from store to store. If you like wasting you weekend locating machines you go right ahead.

I went out with a locator I hired to locate five machines for me. Number one he didn’t have a van, so I had to rent one.

Number two he was suppose to be at my house at 9 am.

He called me at 8:45 am telling me he was still in Pasedena Ca, which is 80 miles from my house and asked if it would be alright if his girlfriend could come along.

Three oh he never showed up. So the whole day wasted, spent 60 dollars on a van and was pissed off.

Save yourself some headache and do not use this type of locator.

These companies charge about the same to locate a vending machine for you.

The difference is they call businesses for you get your locations that way.

I’ve have had a lot of success with this type of vending locator.

This is basically how it goes. You give them a call or go to their website and sign up for thier service.

You tell them what type of machine you have and how many vending machines you want placed.

You also let them know what charity you are working with so you don’t have to pay commissions to your location.

Usually in less than a week they will email or call you and tell you the address and the contact name of the person you need to speak to when you get there.

I am not really a salesman so this was a great way for me to get locations, and I got some really good ones.

Places where I would of never even think about going or even knew about.

The most important part is I still have all of the locations that I have paid for through the telemarketing vending locator company I have used.

If you are new or old to vending and trying to find some new locations I would try a telemarketing company.
